In the boys 16-18 division, Hank Kancher from Philadelphia, PA and Tommy Marshall from Marlton, NJ tied for first place. Kancher with scores of 77 and 72 had four birdies on the weekend. Marshall had scores of 75 and 74 with six birdies on the weekend. Both players ended with a total of 149 strokes. This was Kanchers 3rd first place win of the year and Marshall’s first. Top three honors went to Scott Dillon from Dublin, Ireland. With scores of 75 and 76, Scott had a weekend total of 151 strokes.

First place in the boys 16-18 division went to Andrew Hwang from McLean, VA. This was Hwang’s first HJGT tournament of the year, he did an outstanding job on the course. With a total of nine birdies, he brought in scores of 71 for round 1 and 73 for round 2. He was able to secure the win with a total of 144 strokes. Leo Perez from Falls Church, VA took home the runner up honors. Leo’s round 1 score of 75 and 79 in round 2 gave him a total of 154 strokes, his best HJGT tournament score since joining in 2022. Finishing up top three honors, Collin Ferrell from Upper Marlboro, MD scored a 79 for both days totaling 158 strokes.

Taking home the first place win in the boys 16-18 division was long time HJGT player, Eli Kaufman from Montville, NJ. Kaufman has played with HJGT since 2020 with over 30 tournaments under his belt. He has placed in the Top 10 in more than half the tournaments he has played in. This past weekend he was able to secure the win with six birdies and 150 strokes. With a total score of 152, Griffin LaLonde placed as our runner up honors. Lalonde, from Upper Montclair, NJ brought in scores of 74 for round 1 and 78 in round 2 totaling 152 strokes for the weekend. Finishing up top three honors, Eshaan Golchha from Warren, NJ put up scores of 78 and 75 for a total of 153.

In the boys 16-18 division, Axton Miller from Arthur, IA finished the weekend as our champion. Miller brought in scores of 69 for round 1 and 76 for round 2, along with 8 birdies, he finished the weekend with 145 strokes. This was his first HJGT tournament of the year and his second first place win since joining in 2020. With a final score of 152 strokes, Forrest Benson took home the runner up honors for the weekend. Benson, from Mahomet, IL has participated in a handful of HJGT since joining in 2022 and frequently places in the Top 3. Finishing up top three honors was Tommy Kelley from Omaha, NE. This was Kelley’s first HJGT tournament of the year, he finished the weekend with 153 strokes.
