Taking the lead in the boys 16-18 division was Alex Kim from Brookfield, WI. Kim brought in an exceptional scorecard for the weekend. With four birdies, he brought in scores of 76 in round 1 and 72 in round 2. Kim was able to take the first-place win with a total of 148 strokes. The runner-up honors went to Henry Ferarri from Des Moines, IA. Ferrari brought in one eagle, five birdies and scores of 74 and 77. He ended the weekend with a scorecard of 151 strokes. Tied for the top three honors on the weekend was Bennett Dolter from Peosta, IA and Greg Miller from Akron, IN. Both players brought in an impressive score of 155 strokes.

The first-place finisher in the boys 16-18 division was Max Newton from Cary, NC. Newton is a newcomer to the HJGT and this past weekend was his first event, he brought in an outstanding scorecard. With one eagle and seven birdies, he brought in scores of 79 and 69. Newton ended the weekend with a total of 148 strokes to take the victory. The runner-up honors went to Charlie White from Richmond, VA. With a round 1 score of 75 and a score of 74 in round 2 totaling 149 strokes for the weekend. Tied for the top three honors was Brayden Rockwell from Winchester, VA and Brian Slaughter from Warrenton, VA. Both players were able to bring in an impressive score of 152 strokes.

Leading the boys 16-18 division was Joshua Mitchell from Atlanta, GA. Mitchell did a great job on the course in his first event of 2023. With one eagle and eight birdies on the weekend, he had scores of 74 and 71. Joshua ended the weekend with a total of 145 strokes to take the champion title. The runner-up honors went to Nathan Peji from Dunwoody, GA. Peji brought in 10 birdies along with scores of 75 and 71, he ended the weekend with a final score of 146. Finishing up the top three honors, Matthew Murphy from Roswell, GA with scores of 75 and 74 totaling 149 strokes for the weekend.

Longtime HJGT player, Michael Lugiano from Shavertown, PA was the first-place winner in the boys 16-18 division. Lugiano brought in an outstanding scorecard for the weekend. With 15 birdies on the weekend, he had scores of 67 and 65. Lugiano finished the weekend with a total score of 132 strokes. This follows a great second place finish at the Summer College Prep Series in June. The runner-up honors went to Connor Mckenzie from Pittsburgh, PA. Bringing in impressive scores of 71 and 69, ending the weekend with a final score of 140. Tied for the top three honors were Jack Geyer from Havre Ge Grace, MD, Jacob Harnden from Grafton, Canada and Kevin Wortmann from Hawley, PA. All three players brought in a score of 142 strokes for the weekend.
