Taking the lead in the girls 14-18 division was Yaxuan Zheng from ShenZhen, China. Zheng did a great job on the course this past weekend and brought in her lowest tournament score of the year. With six birdies on the weekend, she had scores of 70 and 72. She was able to take home the win with a total of 142 strokes. This was Yaxuan’s third event of the year and her second win. The runner up honors went to Maria Mercedes Tablante from Lecheria, Venezuela. Maria brought in a round 1 score of 73 and a 70 in round 2 totaling 143 strokes for the weekend. Nichapas Thawinwan from Phuket, Thailand finishes up the top three honors with scores of 74 and 72 totaling 146 strokes.

Newcomer Cora Hirz from Fairview, PA was the first place winner in the girls 14-18 division. This was Cora’s second event of the year and her first win. She had one eagle on the weekend and scores of 91 and 44. Hirz took the win with a total of 135 strokes. Ava Calandra from Pittsburgh, PA takes home the runner up honors. Her scores of 92 in round 1 and 47 in round 2 gave her a total of 139 strokes. Paige Ponteous from Butler, PA finishes up the top three honors with a final score of 148.

To finish off a great weekend, in the girls 14-18 division, Eva Lye from Naples, FL was our first place winner. Eva played a great game this past weekend bringing in her best score of the year. In round 1 she brought in a score of 75 and a 76 for round 2 totaling 151 strokes for the weekend. Mia Farrar from Blue Springs, MO took home the runner up honors on the weekend. Mia had a round 1 score of 84 and a round 2 score of 83 along with one birdie, giving her a weekend total of 167 strokes. Avery Deal from Naples, FL finishes up the top three honors with a score of 171 strokes.

In the girls 14-18 division, longtime HJGT player McKenna Nelson from Beaver Dam, WI was our first place finisher. Nelson has been playing in HJGT tournaments since 2020, she has placed in the Top 10 in all the tournaments she’s played in. This weekend she secured the win with a total of 148 strokes. With two birdies on the weekend and a score of 161 strokes, Camille DeLost takes home the runner up honors. DeLost, from Kenosha, WI has participated in over 10 HJGT tournaments with 11 Top 10 finishes.
