The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) invites you to play in the Valdosta Junior Open! This event will be held at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, GA on February 21-22. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to play one of Georgia’s premier golf courses! The Valdosta Junior Open is open to all golfers between the ages of 11-18. The event will be ranked by the Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS). Top 3 finishers in each division will receive an exemption into the 2015 Mid-Season Invitational at Chateau Elan June 20-22. Winners in each division will receive an exemption into the 2015 Tour Championship December 5-6. Top 10 finishers receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup. This event is a two-day, 36-hole event. Both rounds will begin with a single tee start from 8:00-10:30 AM. Registration fees for members are $189 and $234 for non-members. Created by Davis Love III Designs, Kinderlou Forest Golf Club opened in April 2004, serving as host to six PGA Nationwide Tour events and two PGA Web.com events in ten years. The front nine has a hilly topography; uncommon to South Georgia, set in deciduous forest that is comprised primarily of hardwoods and some slash pines. The back nine is set in a planted slash pine forest that features a dogwood under story. About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of five age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 13-14, Boys 11-12, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
