If you’ve been following the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour over the years, you know that we’ve been a pioneer in the junior golf industry for the better part of two decades. Not only are we the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the U.S., but we’ve brought our elite HJGT experience to Canada, China and India.
With all that said, there is one accomplishment that tends to go unnoticed when we look back on the Hurricane Tour’s impact on junior golf, and that’s the fact that HJGT was the first junior golf tour to start using electronic scorecards back in 2017. The power and convenience of technology has transformed the way we watch, follow and even play sports. Fast forward to 2024, and we are proud to announce the launch of our new and improved HJGT app.
All Your HJGT Info On-The-Go
Our new app will allow you to stay up-to-date on all things HJGT. You can access live leaderboards to follow along with ongoing competitions, find and register for upcoming tournaments, check on past results, stay updated on the latest Player of the Year rankings, and more.
Be sure to download the app and sign in using your membership information. Then, you should be able to see all of your Hurricane Junior Golf Tour information, including upcoming events you are registered for. And the best part about the new HJGT app is that we have implemented a reward system for users.
Earn Rewards To Use On Registration Discounts And More
In addition, by signing up for the app and using it to register for tournaments, you can earn rewards that can amount to awesome benefits like registration discounts, equipment discounts and more. The rewards system is structured so that the player receives $10 for every 100 points earned in the app. Once a player’s parent redeems his/her points in the app, the money will be added to the player’s account to be used for whatever he/she would like, such as tournament registrations.
Here is a breakdown on how to earn points:
20 points = Receive Monthly App Notifications
25 points = Pull Cart Purchase
50 points = Tournament Registration
50 points = Playing in an Invitational Tournament
60 points = Top 5 Tournament finish
100 points = Season Membership Purchase (retroactive)
100 points = Referring a Friend
100 points = Playing in Tournament Outside Home State
200 points = Staying at a host hotel (Must send receipt to info@hjgt.org)
400 points = Playing in 4 Events in 2 Months
600 points = Playing in 6 Events in 2 Months
1000 points = Playing in 8 Events in 4 Months
