How has your experience been in the HJGT internship program?
My experience has been pretty interesting in the HJGT internship program because this is my first internship and I had to learn all the information in order to be fully prepared to do my part in the internship. People have been very helpful and always check in to see if we are doing alright. The team environment is great and welcoming as well.
What are your professional goals after the internship/graduation?
My professional goal is to work for the New York Yankees, making a difference for women of color or women in general in the sports field, and securing a job/internship after post internship/graduation. I’m open to doing anything to be honest, I just want to learn/grow and put my name out there so people can see my full potential
What was your favorite sports memory growing up?
My favorite sports memory growing up was when the NYY won their last championship in 2009. I remember watching the games with my grandparents. I also remember seeing how excited the city was and seeing people chant out loud in the street, made the feeling even better.
What’s your favorite part about working remotely?
My favorite part of working remotely is not having to travel far away for an internship since I don’t have a car nor don’t want to spend so much money on ubers back/forth.
If you could live in any fantasy world, what would it be and why?
If I could live in any fantasy world, it would definitely be Hogwarts because I found it cool how Harry, Hermine and Ron had their own wands and just cast spells. But the whole movie catalog is soooo good!!!! I grew up watching Harry Potter with my mom and sister. We would always binge watch the movies or go to the movie theater when a new movie came out. My favorite Harry Potter movie has to be between Prisoner of Azkaban or Goblet of Fire.
