Northeast Florida Junior Classic, July 17-18, 2017

Northeast Florida Junior Classic

(July 17-18, 2017)

On July 17th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour landed in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida to host the Northeast Florida Jr Classic. The first round was off to a good start before the storm came making the players wait on a rain delay of two hours. The kids fought through the rain until the lightning came. The second round was much better with sunny sky and the temperatures staying in the 80’s and a few clouds here and there keeping the field shaded. The staff at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour would like to thank Marsh Landing Country Club for allowing us to host this event at their facility. Important factors that were at risk for the players were; Junior Golf Scoreboard Ranking (JGS), top 3 in each division will receive an exemption into the 2017 National Championship December 2-3, 2017, top 10 finishers receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup. As soon as the first ball left the tee at eight o’clock Monday morning, the players were ready to fire away at the course.     Boys 16-18 Division
