Fox Den Country Club in Statesville, North Carolina is set to host the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Charlotte Jr. Challenge on October 19-20. The National Junior Golf Scoreboard ranked event is sure to feature a competitive field on a great venue in the Charlotte area. Winners in both boys divisions as well and the older girls division will receive AJGA Performance Stars if the field size requirements are met. There are also South Carolina Junior Golf Association points and Tarheel Youth Golf Association points available. Winners in all four divisions will be invited to the HJGT’s 2013 Tour Championship. Winners also receive a $50 gift card courtesy of Kikkor Golf. Top ten finishers receive points towards the inaugural Hurricane Cup and the year end honors. The Charlotte Jr. Challenge will be a 36 hole stroke play tournament with the first round beginning with a single tee start from 7:00AM-10:00AM on Saturday and the second round single tee from 8:00AM-11:00AM on Sunday. About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of four age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 11-14, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18.
