The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) is excited to invite you to one of our first South Carolina events for 2015! With a growing active field and an exciting array of high stakes, the Bluffton Jr. Shootout looks to be an exciting event for our junior golfers. The tournament will be held at Old South Golf Links in Bluffton, SC on January 17-18. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to begin new season with some of the best junior golfers in the state of South Carolina for high stakes, an incredible venue. The Bluffton Jr. Shootout is open to all golfers between the ages of 11-18. At stake in this event are opportunities to earn South Carolina Junior Golf Association Points (SCJGA), Tarheel Youth Golf Association Points (TYGA), Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings (JGS), and AJGA Performance Stars if the respective field sizes are met within each age division. Winners in each division will receive an exemption into the 2015 Tour Championship December 5-6, 2015,top 3 in each division will receive an exemption into the 2015 Mid Season Invitational at Chateau Elan June 20-22, 2015, and Top 10 finishers receive points towards year end honors which include state teams, ALL HJGT teams, and the Hurricane Cup. This event is a two-day, 36 hole event. The first round will kick off Saturday, January 17th with a double tee start from 8:00AM to 10:00AM. The second round will begin Sunday, January 18th with a double tee start running from 8:00AM to 10:00PM. Registration fees for members are $189 and $234 for non-members. In the Hilton Head area, Old South Golf Links is regarded as a favorite year after year by local residents and visitors alike. Since the Clyde Johnston’s designed course opened, golfers continue to be attracted to the natural beauty of lowcountry golf that Old South provides. Just over the bridge from Hilton Head Island, vacationers regularly make the short trip to Bluffton to play golf amid towering oaks and rolling terrain while soaking in magnificent views from the island greens abutting the intracoastal marshes of McKay’s Creek. Golfers are often greeted by the abundant wildlife from wood storks to soaring hawks and grazing deer to lagoons inhabited by alligators. About us: The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2008 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of five age divisions: Boys 15-18, Boys 13-14, Boys 11-12, Girls 11-14 and Girls 15-18. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, New Jersey, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Illinois, and Louisiana.
