The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Alumni Spotlight features Furman University's Women’s Golf Athlete

Reona has been an outstanding player not only on the HJGT tour, but at Furman University as well.
Prior playing at Furman, Reona had some impressive results during her high school career. Reona was the top-ranked prep player in South Carolina. She also Claimed individual medalist honors at the SCJGA Jimmy Self Junior Festival of Flowers, the WSCGA Junior Girls' State Championship, the SCJGA The Blade Junior Golf Classic, and the Beth Daniel Junior Azalea, and took second place at the Twin States Junior Girls' Championship. Additionally, she was honored as the Beth Daniel South Carolina Player of the Year in 2012 and qualified for the U.S. Girls' Junior Championship.
In her Freshman year at Furman, Reona was named to the All-Southern Conference team and the SoCon All-Freshman Team. She also Boasted three top-25 finishes, including a season-best ninth-place finish at the SoCon Championships, where she carded a 3-over 219 after firing a 2-under 70 in the tournament's final round. In her sophomore year Reona recorded a 76.0 stroke average over 21 rounds for the Paladins, posted a career-best 68 in the second round of the Yale Intercollegiate, tied for 20th, a season best, at the Yale Intercollegiate and was named to the WGCA All-America Scholar Team.
During her high school career, Reona participated in a great number of HJGT Tournaments, and consistently finished with great results.
