Enze Miao from Thousand Oaks, CA finished in first place this past weekend in the boys 16-18 division. This was Miao’s second event of the year and his first win. With six birdies on the weekend, he brought in a round 1 score of 67 and a round 2 score of 75. Miao finished the tournament with a final score of 142. This follows an outstanding third place finish at the Boston Summer Finale at Cold Spring. The runner-up honors went to Colin Barber from Victory, NY. Barber’s scores of 76 and 73 gave him a weekend total of 149 strokes. Barber has been playing with the HJGT since 2019 with six Top 10 finishes under his belt. In his first event of 2023, William Chouinard from Hamilton, NY finishes up the top three honors with a scorecard of 151 strokes.

Leading the boys 16-18 division was Julian Lombisano from San Isidro, Argentina. Lombisano did a fantastic job on the course, this was his third event of 2023 and his first win. He brought in a score of 74 in round 1 and a 75 in round 2. Lombisano ended the weekend with a final score of 149 strokes to take home the champion title. Tehorahkwaneken Albany from Kahnawake, Canada and Qishu (Daniel) Yang from Dongguan, China tied for the runner-up honors on the weekend. Albany brought in four birdies with scores of 75 for both days and Yang brought in five birdies with scores of 71 and 79. Both players ended the tournament with a scorecard of 150 strokes.

In the boys 16-18 division, Henry Brown from Falls Church, VA placed first after securing a playoff win against Shenzhe Dai. Brown finished the weekend with a round 1 score of 75 and a round 2 score of 72, ending the weekend with 148 strokes. This is Brown’s second event of 2023 and his first win. Shenzhe Dai from Beijing, China placed as the runner-up honors in his first HJGT event. His scores of 72 in round 1 and 76 in round 2 gave him a total of 148 strokes. Finishing up the top three honors was Yushen Lan from Nanjing, China with a scorecard of 152 strokes.

Taking the lead in the boys 16-18 division was Jackson Woroner from St. Petersburg, FL. Woroner brought in an exceptional scorecard for the weekend with his lowest score so far this year. With six birdies on the weekend, he brought in scores of 73 in round 1 and 75 in round 2. Woroner finished the tournament with a total of 148 strokes. This was his fifth Top 10 finish of the year. Keegan Farmer from Greenwood, SC took home the runner-up honors on the weekend. Farmer brought in one eagle, five birdies and scores of 76 and 74 for a combined score of 150 strokes. Currently, he is ranked in the Top 15 players of the HJGT point rankings. Finishing up the top three honors was Max Schmied from Orlando, FL with a scorecard of 151 strokes.
