Northern Virginia Spring Junior Open

From May14-15, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Northern Virginia SpringJunior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field offour divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Northern Virginia Spring Junior Open

Grayson Wood from Fredericksburg, Virginia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wood brought in scores of 73 and 66 for a combined total of 139 for the weekend. Michael Bennet from Williamsburg, Virginia was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 72 and 72 for a combined total of 144. Albert Zheng from Herndon, Virginia finished the top three honors with scores of 71 and 77 for a weekend total of 148.

Sujaan Singh from Ashburn, Virginia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Singh brought in scores of 79 and 80 for a combined total of 159 for the weekend. Vincent Diglio from Lovettsville, Virginia was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 81 for a combined total of 165. Connor Wood from Mclean, Virginia finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 86 for a weekend total of 166.

Ryan Moseley from Vienna, Virginia was the first-place finisher this weekend. Moseley brought in scores of 86 and 83 for a combined total of 169 for the weekend. Colton Rodgers was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 92 and 86 for a combined total of 178. Armaan Osterman from Fairfax, Virginia finished the top three honors with scores of 96 and 91 for a weekend total of 187.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
