On Saturday November 17 – Sunday November 18, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Mission Inn Junior Open in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Rose Division Girls U13, and the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18. Boys 16-18

Sebastian Moss captured the first-place finish at the Mission Inn Junior Open in the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 division with a 2-day total of even par. With solid play both days, Moss was able to hold off Alexis Valenzuela who finished with a total of +3. Rounding out the division in a three way tie were Evan Sun, Zikang Zhan and Matthew Chorches who all finished with a two-day total of +8.
Boys 14-15

In the Will Smith Boys 14-15 division Chase Gullikson took home first place this weekend by shooting a 2-day total of +5. Solid play in the second round allowed Gullikson to take victory over Ian Ball who finished second with a 2 day total of +6. Rounding out the division was Sumaer Dhalla who finished with +10 to claim a 3rd place finish.
Boys 11-13

Aaron DeWitt did not disappoint in the Ernie Els boys 11-13 division as he finished with a total of +8 to win in his division over Tyrone Sun who shot +12 to claim 2nd place. Behind Tyrone Sun was Tymon Sun who shot a 2-day total of +27 to take a solo 3rd place finish.
Girls 14-18

Anne Fernandez ended up with the first-place finish in the Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18 Division by carding a total of -1. With consistent rounds, Fernandez was able to hold off 2nd place finisher Ainsley Mann. Rounding out the division was Darcey Harry who shot a 2-day total of +5 to claim a 3rd place finish.
Girls U13

Congratulations to Amelia Cobb on taking home 1st place in the Girls U13 division with a total score of +15. In second place was Haley Davis who finished with a two-day total of +29. Rounding out the division was Hannah Hall with a two-day total of +43.

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
