From April 1-2, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Knoxville Spring Kickoff at Woodlake. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Boys 16-18

Brody McLaughlin from Canton, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. McLaughlin brought in scores of 75 and 78 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Boston Schlosser from Nashville, TN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 82 for a combined total of 159. Max Terrell from Crestwood, KY finished the top three honors with scores of 87 and 75 for a weekend total of 162.
Boys 14-15

Andrew Sandberg from Knoxville, TN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Sandberg brought in scores of 83 and 82 for a combined total of 165 for the weekend. Paul Haire from Jonesborough, TN the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 84 for a combined total of 167. Lewis Niad from Oak Ridge, TN finished the top three honors with scores of 86 and 85 for a weekend total of 171.
Boys 11-13

Zane Corley from Noblesville, IN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Corley brought in scores of 79 and 78 for a combined total of 157 for the weekend. Jaycob Fowler from Jonesborough, TN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 86 and 82 for a combined total of 168.
Girls 14-18

Kailey Lane from Harriman, TN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lane brought in scores of 82 and 80 for a combined total of 162 for the weekend. Piercey Dyer from Peru, IN and Palmer Sykes from Knoxville, TN tied for runner up this weekend. Dyer’s scores of 86 and 85 and Sykes’ scores of 88 and 83 both combined for a weekend total of 171.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
