Summer College Prep Series at UK

From July 9-10, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Summer College Prep Series at UK. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Boys 16-18

Summer College Prep Series at UK

Jack Butts from Paducah, Kentucky was the first-place finisher this weekend. Butts brought in scores of 74 and 69 for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. Quinn Thomas from Hannibal, Missouri was the runner up with scores of 75 and 72 for a combined total of 147. Gabe Logan from Cincinatti, Ohio finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 69 for a weekend total of 149.

Boys 14-15

Haydon Reynolds from Cadiz, Kentucky was the first-place finisher this weekend. Reynolds brought in scores of 85 and 79 for a combined total of 164 for the weekend. Colt McConnaughy from La Grange, Kentucky was the runner up with scores of 83 and 88 for a combined total of 171. Davis Willoighby from McKinney, Texas finished the top three honors with scores of 90 and 86 for a weekend total of 176.

Patrick Paquette from Cincinnati, Ohio was the first-place finisher this weekend. Paquette brought in scores of 77 and 77 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend. Parker Geldhof from Lexington, Kentucky was the runner up with scores of 85 and 82 for a combined total of 167. Luke Newton from Littleton, Colorado finished the top three honors with scores of 90 and 81 for a weekend total of 171.

Katie Roberts from Calvert City, Kentucky was the first-place finisher this weekend. Roberts brought in scores of 74 and 72 for a combined total of 146 for the weekend. Bryn Sorge from Savannah, Georgia was the runner up with scores of 84 and 82 for a combined total of 166. Kelsay Collins from Monticello, Kentucky and Alexandria DeRee from Dublin, Ohio finished the top three honors withs scores of 89 and 88, and 88 and 89, respectively, for a weekend total of 177 each.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
