The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Acquires the Plantations Junior Golf Tour

Jacksonville, FL-The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) and the Plantations Junior Golf Tour (PJGT) announced Tuesday May 5, 2015 that an agreement has been reached for the HJGT to take over the PJGT and honor all memberships through December of 2015. After May 25, 2015 the PJGT operation will dissolve and the HJGT will oversee all administrative and tournament operations. Under the HJGT name, PJGT members now have the opportunity to play on the largest and fastest growing junior golf tour in the nation. This acquisition will strengthen competition throughout the east coast and will give the HJGT access to even more premier venues The HJGT was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The HJGT hosts more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour.  Since its inception, the HJGT has hosted over 550 events with over 15,500 players. Over 975 juniors golfers who played on the tour have signed letters of intent to play college golf.  In 2015, the HJGT will conduct 195 events in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Missouri, and Connecticut. The HJGT events are highly successful due to the level of professionalism and attention to detail. “This is one of our most exciting projects we have taken on in the past 8 years,” said Mario Conte, Executive Director of the HJGT. “We couldn’t be more excited to acquire a tour with such rich history and professionalism.
