Texas Junior Golf Tour and Hurricane Junior Golf Tour to Combine Under New Banner in 2027, Increasing Access and Expanding Tournament Offerings
New York, N.Y. — June 17, 2026 — Bolt Ventures, the family office of David Blitzer, announced today the acquisition of the Texas Junior Golf Tour (TJGT), a premier regional youth circuit known for its high-quality events and emphasis on player development. Bolt Ventures intends to bring together the Texas Junior Golf Tour with the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT), which Bolt acquired in April, to create a new, rebranded youth golf tour platform in 2027.
The combined platform will strengthen tournament offerings, enhance operational scale, and create new opportunities for junior golfers nationwide. The new brand and its 2027 schedule will be unveiled in the Fall. Until then, the TJGT and HJGT will continue to operate under their existing banners.
The TJGT acquisition was led by Joshua Press of Bolt Ventures, who will serve as CEO of the new combined platform. Texas Junior Golf Tour CEO Craig Rosengarden willtransition into the role of President of Tour Operations for the new entity, where he will help lead integration efforts and oversee national tournament execution.

TJGT was founded in Austin in 1989, with a focus on golfers ages 11-18. The organization has grown in scale to host more than 60 events across Texas each year. The tour has had tremendous success in supporting the development of successful golfers across all levels, including PGA Tour players Jordan Spieth and Jhonattan Vegas, as well as LPGA two-time Major winner Stacy Lewis.
Now, TJGT embarks on a shared mission to reach new youth golfers while leveraging its near 40 years of excellence in the space.
