We had the pleasure of interviewing Benjamin Shaver about his golf experiences. Here’s what he had to share:
1. What is your favorite brand to wear on the golf course?
“My favorite golf brand to wear on the course would have to be Under Armour. I wear a lot of their clothing, but my favorite hats and gloves are Titleist.”
2. What is your favorite golf course or tournament?
“My favorite course would have to be my home course, Lookout Point Country Club here in Ontario. It’s a really beautiful but challenging course, which makes it so much fun to play.”
3. What upcoming tournament are you excited about, especially if it’s an HJGT event?
“I’m really looking forward to the Hilton Head Junior Classic and Major Championship at Barefoot in South Carolina. And hopefully additional NJGT events. I just played in the Labor Day Open at Eagle Creek in Florida, which was my first NJGT tournament. It was a great experience! I had a lot of fun, despite the heat, so I’m really excited for these upcoming tournaments.”
4. What’s your most memorable win or achievement in golf?
“My most memorable golf win has to be winning my Club Championship this year. I won by 1 shot, sinking a 30-foot birdie putt on 18 to win it in front of everyone. It was such an exciting experience and a weekend I’ll never forget.”
