The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Alumni Spotlight features Tennessee State University Golf Athlete Sam Gatlin.
Sam has been an outstanding player not only on the HJGT tour, but at Tennessee State University as well. Prior playing at Tennessee State, Sam had some impressive
results during her high school career. As a senior, Sam won
All-District and All-State honors as a senior. Sam garnered two wins,
six top 4 finishes and nine top 10 finishes on the 2014 Junior Amateur
Tour. During his high school career, Sam participated in a
great number of HJGT Tournaments, and consistently finished with great
results. In 2015 Sam earned his best finish on
the HJGT tour finishing in 13th place at the Nashville Junior Shootout
Presented by GolfDotz At the Tennessee State, Sam earned her best finish at the
National Black College Hall of Fame, placing 9th. The F&M Bank APSU
Intercollegiate featured his low round (70) of the season.
