From April 9th-10th, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Cleveland Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Boys 16-18

Matthew Lyons from Toronto, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lyons brought in scores of 75 and 73 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Ben Scheef from Olmsted Township, OH was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 75 and 75 for a combined total of 150. Julian Dugan from Rocky River, OH finished top three honors with scores of 73 and 78 for a weekend total of 151.
Boys 14-15

Tanner Wood from Reynoldsburg, OH was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wood brought in scores of 88 and 91 for a combined total of 179 for the weekend. Michael-Tyler Polca from Rocky River, OH was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 97 and 84 for a combined total of 181.
Boys 11-13

Evan Bai from Solon, OH was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bai brought in scores of 96 and 87 for a combined total of 183 for the weekend.
Girls 14-18

Zoey Stern from Greenville, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Stern brought in scores of 80 and 84 for a combined total of 164 for the weekend. Brooklyn Millard from Aurora, OH was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 91 and 81 for a combined total of 172. Gracyn Vidovic from Aurora, OH finished top three honors with scores of 89 and 88 for a weekend total of 177.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
