From May 4-5, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Fort Myers Junior Open at Verandah. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and the Girls14-18 Division.
Jorge Del Val, representing Bradenton, FL, secured the lead with a total of 149 strokes, claiming first place after rounds of 74 and 75. Sam Cooper from Denver, CO, and Nathan Peji from Dunwoody, GA, tied for second place with a total of 152 strokes each. Cooper posted rounds of 76 and 76, while Peji posted rounds of 79 and 73.
Kaden Latreille, representing Naples, FL, secured the lead with a total of 149 strokes, claiming first place after rounds of 76 and 73. Rory Gurandiano from New York, NY, secured second place with a total score of 164 strokes, posting rounds of 77 and 87. George Corts from Nashville, TN, and Parker Mattoon from Venice, FL, tied for third place with a total of 169 strokes each. Corts posted rounds of 79 and 90, while Mattoon posted rounds of 88 and 81.
Jonathan Hamren, representing Medina, WA, secured the lead with a total of 160 strokes, claiming first place after rounds of 81 and 79. Kieran Shaw from Naples, FL, secured second place with a total score of 166 strokes, posting rounds of 82 and 84. Yoobeom Kim from Gangnam-gu, Republic of Korea, secured third place with a total of 174 strokes, after rounds of 86 and 88.
Gwendolyn Yarnall, from East Aurora, NY, secured the lead with a total of 151 strokes, claiming first place after rounds of 75 and 76. Treva Dodd from Brookfield, WI, secured second place with a total score of 155 strokes, posting rounds of 75 and 80. Emily Machin from Tyler, TX, secured third place with a total of 157 strokes, after rounds of 77 and 80.
