From Saturday, February 16 – Monday, February 18, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the 54 Hole Open at Innisbrook at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL. The tournament was made up of a 54-hole, three-day format and the field was made from six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys 10 and Under, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and the Justin Rose Division Girls 13 and Under.
Tiger Woods Boys 16-18
Nic Bucher of Herrliberg, Switzerland took home the gold in the Tiger Woods Division, as he finished the three-day weekend with 217 strokes. Just three strokes behind him was a four-way tie for second, which included Charles Zielinski of Omaha, NE, Simon Haas of Wesley Chapel, FL, Matthew Chorches of West Hartford, CT, and Alexis Valenzuela of Nassau, Bahamas. The second place finishers each finished with 220 strokes.
Will Smith Boys 14-15
Leading off the Will Smith Division was Anthony Chen of Wesley Chapel, FL, who finished with 222 strokes. Rounding out the podium was Jake Peacock of Milton, GA and AJ Jaiswal of Bangalore, India, who tied for second and each finished with 228 strokes.
Ernie Els 11-13
It was a tight race over the weekend in the Ernie Els Division, but Lev Grinberg of Kiev, Ukraine finished on top with a total of 220 strokes. Just one stroke behind him was Chance Rinkol of Leawood, KS, who finished with 221 strokes. Ryan Banas of Winnetka, IL earned the final spot on the podium with 232 strokes.
Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18
The Justin Timberlake Division was very competitive over the weekend, as Mariana Mesones of Wesley Chapel, FL earned the top spot with 219 strokes. Just two strokes behind her was a two-way tie for second, as Yue Zhang of Orlando, FL and Ashley Chow of Ontario, Canada finished out the weekend with 221 strokes each.
Justin Rose Girls U13
Nicole Criscone of Clifton Park, NY was the first-place finisher in the Justin Rose Division, as she finished with 243 strokes. Just one stroke shy of first was Helen Yeung of Clarksville, MD, with 244 strokes. Lisa Copeland of Naperville, IL rounded out the division just two stokes behind Yeung.
Boys 10 Under
Brady Barnum of Dublin, OH was the champion of the Bryson DeChambeau Division, as he finished the three-day tournament with 229 strokes. Nathan Haisch of Huntley, IL earned the silver trophy with 287 strokes.
