Farmington, CT — Matteo Barbaro of Middletown, CT, claimed the Boys 16–18 Division title at the Connecticut Season Finale, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at Farmington Woods Golf Club.
Barbaro opened with a solid 74 and held off a competitive field on Sunday despite a challenging final round 85, finishing at 159 (+15) to edge out a three-way tie for second. Rowan Banning of Leawood, KS, Yixun Chen, and Kuisheng Zhou of Ashburnham, MA, all finished just one stroke back at 160 (+16), showcasing the tight competition at the top of the leaderboard.
Patrik Burke of Bedford, NH, rounded out the top five with a total of 162 (+18).
Barbaro’s steady composure under pressure helped him seal the victory and conclude the HJGT’s Connecticut season with a memorable performance that highlighted both resilience and consistency.

Yorkville, IL — Competing in his hometown, Kashton Wilson of Yorkville, IL, delivered a clutch performance to win the Boys 16–18 Division at the Chicagoland Season Finale, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at Whitetail Ridge Golf Club.
After an opening 79 (+8), Wilson stormed back with a brilliant 71 (E) on Sunday — the lowest round of the tournament — to finish at 150 (+8) and secure the victory. His final round composure and sharp iron play helped him separate from the pack in a competitive field.
Landon Heers of Sherrills Ford, NC, and Drew Peters of Fitchburg, WI, shared runner-up honors at 158 (+16), both showcasing consistent efforts across two challenging days at Whitetail Ridge.
Wilson’s hometown triumph marked a fitting close to the Chicagoland junior golf season, underscoring the depth of talent showcased throughout the HJGT’s 2025 campaign.

West Atlanta Fall Junior Open

Carrollton, GA — Griffin Barnett of Carrollton, GA, made his hometown proud with a composed and confident victory in the Boys 16–18 Division at the West Atlanta Fall Junior Open, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at Oak Mountain Golf Club.
Barnett opened the tournament with a strong 2-under 70, showcasing poise on his home course and a steady hand on the greens. Despite tougher conditions in the final round, his 74 (+2) was enough to seal the win and finish even par (144) for the weekend — five shots clear of the field.
Tied for second at 149 (+5) were Davis Moore of Woodstock, GA, and Matthew Runckel of Alpharetta, GA. Moore came out hot with an opening 70 before a rougher Sunday slowed his pace, while Runckel’s sharp even-par 72 final round earned him a share of second.
Rounding out the top performers, Jackson Herrick of Social Circle, GA, finished fourth at 150 (+6), and Minjun Choi of Sandy Springs, GA, tied Grant Edens of Milledgeville, GA, for fifth at 153 (+9).
Barnett’s win was a complete display of control — from strategic course management to mental toughness. Competing in front of a familiar crowd, he stayed focused under pressure, capping off a memorable weekend that highlighted his potential as one of Georgia’s top junior talents on the HJGT circuit.

Greensboro, NC — Harrison Tindall of Annapolis, MD, delivered a poised and professional performance at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Invitational, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, claiming the Boys 16–18 Division title with a stellar two-day total of 142 (-2).
Tindall’s consistency was the story of the weekend. The Maryland native fired back-to-back rounds of 71, showcasing elite ball striking and steady composure from start to finish. His ability to stay under par across two windy days at Greensboro National Golf Club proved the difference, separating him from a strong regional field.
Finishing five shots back at 147 (+3), Britton Steede of Cramerton, NC, took runner-up honors after rounds of 73–74, continuing his strong fall form. Pongpat Rattanapiratanon of Bangkok, Thailand, rounded out the podium in third with a 149 (+5), displaying excellent rhythm and precision throughout the weekend.
Not far behind, Supawut Rungrojpatansaree (Bangkok, Thailand) and Chet Kight (Wilmington, NC) posted resilient finishes inside the top five.
The HJGT’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Invitational brought together a high-caliber field from across the country — and around the world — testing every facet of the players’ games. Tindall’s wire-to-wire performance stood out as a showcase of control, focus, and competitive maturity, proving that he’s one to watch as the season progresses.
