West Trenton, NJ — The New Jersey Fall Junior Open at Mountain View Golf Course delivered a dramatic finish in the Boys 14–15 division, where Rayan Shah of Newtown, PA pulled through under pressure to secure the championship. Shah opened with an 83 in round one, leaving him in the middle of the pack, but came back on Sunday with one of the division’s strongest rounds — a gritty 75 that propelled him to the top of the leaderboard. His two-day total of 158 (+14) gave him just enough separation to fend off Timothy Hauser of Stony Point, NY, who stayed consistent across both rounds with scores of 80 and 79 for 159 (+15). Eli Singer of New York City, NY finished third at 162 (+18) after carding back-to-back 80s, while Joseph Chachkin of Jenkintown, PA was close behind in fourth at 163 (+19). Max Trudell of Hoboken, NJ rounded out the top five with a two-day 164 (+20), keeping the top of the leaderboard tightly packed. The depth of the field highlighted the strength of the region, with players from Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey battling throughout the weekend. Shah’s ability to rebound on Sunday proved decisive, earning him his first HJGT title of the fall season.

Minneapolis Fall Junior Open at Emerald Greens

Hastings, MN — The Boys 14–15 division at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Minneapolis Fall Junior Open came down to composure and consistency, and it was Blake Knight of Lakeville, MN who rose above the field to secure the championship. Knight opened with a strong 74 on Saturday, putting himself at the top of the leaderboard heading into the final round. On Sunday, despite battling tougher conditions and posting a 79, he closed with a two-day total of 153 (+9) to claim the title by four strokes. Peyton Peterson of Maplewood, MN stayed within striking distance throughout the weekend, finishing runner-up at 157 (+13) after rounds of 77 and 80. Griffin Klepac of Lake Elmo, MN showed resilience, bouncing back from an opening 83 to shoot 78 on Sunday, good enough for third place at 161 (+17). The division also saw dramatic swings in scoring. Jake Moran of Zumbrota, MN fired a remarkable 72 in the opening round — the lowest single-round score in the division — but struggled on Sunday with a 90, finishing fourth at 162 (+18). Rounding out the top five was Owen Feldhaus of Rosemount, MN, who carded 76–90 for a 166 (+22). Further down, Reve Barthelemy of Lake Elmo, MN placed sixth at 177 (+33), while Charlie Hastings of Wayzata, MN did not complete play. Knight’s ability to stay steady across both rounds, especially while others faltered in the final stretch, proved decisive. His victory at Emerald Greens adds his name to the growing list of Minnesota standouts making their mark on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour.

West Lafayette, IN — The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Fall College Prep Series at Purdue crowned a dominant champion in the Boys 14–15 division, as Porter Bell of Noblesville, IN controlled the field from start to finish at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Club. Bell opened with a solid 76 on Saturday, putting him atop the leaderboard heading into the final round. On Sunday, he showed even more composure, carding a 74 — the lowest round of the division — to close with a two-day total of 150 (+6). His steady ball striking and ability to minimize mistakes allowed him to separate from the pack, winning by a commanding 13 shots. The closest challenger was Luke Mulligan of Burr Ridge, IL, who posted rounds of 79 and 84 for a 163 (+19) finish. Caiden Murray of Crawfordsville, IN followed in third at 175 (+31), while Ethan Hoffenberg (Wilmette, IL) and Carter Brock (Kenilworth, IL) rounded out the top five at 176 (+32) and 178 (+34), respectively. Further down the leaderboard, Yianni Boufis of Dyer, IN battled back with a Sunday 88 to take sixth, while Owen Wern of Wilmette, IL completed the field. With his wire-to-wire victory, Bell’s performance stood out as one of the strongest of the weekend across all divisions. His ability to stay composed on Purdue’s challenging layout not only earned him the title but also showcased his potential as one of the region’s rising young players.

Beaufort, SC — The Boys 14–15 division at the Low Country Junior Open came down to the wire, as Isaiah Bayon of Columbia, SC outlasted hometown contender Hogan Wareham of Beaufort, SC in a playoff to capture the championship at Cat Island Club. Both players finished regulation tied at 165 (+23), with Bayon closing strong on Sunday with a gritty 77 to erase the gap from day one. Wareham, who fired a brilliant opening 75, held the lead heading into the final round but slipped with a 90, setting up the dramatic finish. James Conroy of London, England claimed third at 167 (+25), while Henry Anderson (Bluffton, SC) and Alex Dao (Savannah, GA) shared fourth at 168 (+26). Bayon’s steady final-round performance and clutch play in the playoff sealed a memorable victory, adding his name to the list of champions at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Low Country Junior Open.
