Learn More
Orlando, FL — October 25–26, 2025 The Orlando Fall Junior Open at Eagle Creek presented by GEICO, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, brought out an impressive field of young talent in the Boys 14–15 Division, highlighted by a commanding wire-to-wire victory from Drew Brink of Winter Springs, Florida. Brink was in complete control from the start, opening with a stellar 69 (-3) and following it up with a solid 71 (-2) to finish the tournament at 6-under par (−6) — the only player in his division to break par both rounds. His poise, precision, and consistency across the two days not only secured a dominant win but also marked one of the lowest totals of the entire event across all age groups. Trailing well behind Brink, Jad Mourine of Rabat, Morocco, claimed solo second at +6 (152) after rounds of 75 and 77, while Hunter Benson of Mahomet, Illinois, made an impressive Day 2 comeback, firing a 73 (E) to finish third at +8 (154). International representation was a hallmark of this division, with players from Spain, Mexico, China, Australia, Germany, Canada, and the U.S. showcasing their skills on Eagle Creek’s demanding layout. Despite challenging winds and firm greens, Brink’s ability to stay aggressive off the tee and composed on the greens set him apart from the field. With his performance, Brink not only captured the title but solidified his position as one of the most promising junior players to watch as the tour heads toward its winter championship stretch.

Louisville, KY — October 18–19, 2025 The Fall College Prep Series at Louisville, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at the University of Louisville Golf Club, saw the region’s rising young stars battle through crisp fall conditions and a championship-level layout that demanded accuracy and poise. In the Boys 14–15 Division, Cole Layow of Nicholasville, Kentucky, put together a pair of steady rounds to claim the title with a total score of +12 (78–78—156). Layow’s disciplined play off the tee and calm putting under pressure helped him hold off Michael Tomaro Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio, who finished second at +18 (162) after a strong Sunday charge that included a 77 in Round 2. Rounding out the top three was Whitt Kaster of Louisville, Kentucky, who posted +21 (82–83—165), showing resilience through challenging pin placements and swirling winds. The weekend tested every player’s mental and technical game, with narrow fairways and slick greens offering no easy breaks. As the final event in the College Prep Series, the tournament highlighted the depth of junior talent in the Midwest — a true proving ground for those with collegiate aspirations.

Chicago, IL — October 18–19, 2025 The Midwest/West Regional Invitational, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at Harborside International Golf Club, delivered another thrilling weekend of elite junior golf as players battled unpredictable winds and a demanding links-style layout on Chicago’s South Side. In the Boys 14–15 Division, Julian Bugara of Prospect Heights, Illinois, captured the title with a two-day total of +12 (75–81—156). Bugara’s composed first round and steady play on Sunday proved just enough to hold off a late push from Braxton Hollan of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Owen Purdin of Oregon, Wisconsin, who shared second at +14 (158). The windy second round at Harborside tested every player’s patience, but Bugara’s consistency around the greens helped him maintain his edge down the stretch. Spencer Roth of Monticello, Indiana, finished fourth at +19, while Austin Telle of St. Louis rounded out the top five at +20. The competition was a display of grit and focus, with young golfers adapting to firm greens, heavy gusts, and the ever-present challenge of Harborside’s coastal-style bunkering. The event once again highlighted the depth of the Midwest’s junior golf scene and the continued excellence of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, which provides rising stars a platform to compete at championship-caliber venues across the country.
