From March 16-17, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Laurel Hill Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls U13 Division.
Nathan Aversano from South Riding, VA was the first-place finisher for the 2024 Laurel Hill Junior Open. Aversa brought in scores of 74 and 77 for a combined total of 151 strokes. Patrick Carl from Mouth Airy, MD and JD Mahoney tied for the runner up honors. Carl received a consistent 76 across his rounds while Mahoney collected a 71 and 81 for a total of 152 strokes.
Jake Lopes from Vienna, VA was the first-place finisher for the 2024 Laurel Hill Junior Open. Lopes finished under par with scores of round 1 71 and round 2 77, finishing with 148 strokes. Armaan Osterman from Fairfax, VA was the runner up. Osterman finished with scores of 78 and 73 for a final score of 151 strokes. In third came Chase Evans from McLean, VA with an 80 and 76 for a total of 156 strokes.
Ethan Trobaugh from Aldie, VA was the first-place finisher for the Boys 11-13 division. Trobaugh brought in scores of 74 and 76 for a total of 150 strokes. Terence McAuley from Haymarket, VA was the runner-up with near identical scores of 84 and 83. McAuley finished with a total score of 167 strokes. Milyn Garg from Lorton, VA came third with a final total of 187 strokes.
Alex Sweet from Alexandria, VA was the first-place finisher for the Boys Under 10 division. Sweet brought in scores of 82 and 86 for a total of 168 strokes. Miles Hong from Alie, VA was the runner-up for the tournament. Hong finished the weekend with 181 strokes bringing in an 81 on round 1 and 100 for round 2. In third came Remington Faunce from Richmond, VA with a 90 and 93 for a total of 183.
Leela Kenwood from Bethesda, MD was the first-place finisher for the Girls 14-18 division. Kenwood brought in scores of 78 and 79 for a total of 157 strokes. Angela Yao from Potomac, MD was the runner-up with scores of 83 and 86 for a final score of 169 strokes. In third was Mikaela McAuley with a sweet 81 and 89 for a total of 170 strokes.
Kathleen Kelly from Fairfax, VA was the first-place finisher for the Girls Under 13 division. Kelly brought in scores of round 1, 87 and round 2, 75 for a final score of 162 strokes. Alexis Baek from Tysons Corner, VA was the runner-up with scores of 89 and 84, a final total of 173 strokes. Olivia Nam from Chantilly, VA rounded out the top three honors with scores of 112 and 100 for a total of 212 strokes.
