Experience Jr Golf in Texas with the HJGT

The HJGT migrated into Texas in 2023 with a main focus on the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. Some of the top competition and highly ranked juniors reside in this area and the HJGT membership is growing steadily in this area. The HJGT hosts roughly 6-8 events a year in this metro and will continue to grow as the years go on. Dallas is a hot spot for some of the best venues and fierce competition.

No way! You can play in any open HJGT event regardless of location and residence.

Do Texas-based HJGT events allow caddies? See More Details

Players in the Boys U10 and Girls U13 divisions may use a caddie at all HJGT events. On each event registration page, you’ll find more details on our caddie policies.

If I travel out of state or need lodging for an event, can the HJGT provide me or my child with accommodations? See More Details

For many of our events, we partner with local hotels and we strongly encourage our parents & players to make reservations in advance at these host properties.

Do you offer junior golf for both boys and girls? See More Details

Yes! All boys and girls ages 8-18 are welcome to register for our events.

Absolutely! More collegiate golfers got their start on the Hurricane Tour than with any other junior golf tour in the nation.

Colleges are not affiliated with the HJGT, however, over the years, HJGT alumni have attended Texas schools such as: Rice University, University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M, Baylor University, University of Houston, and many others.

Will my child earn points for participating in HJGT events that can be counted for other non-HJGT competitions? See More Details

Yes, a majority of our events are ranked by Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) and Global Junior Golf Rankings (GJGR). Many of our premium tournaments also qualify for AJGA stars, GolfWeek, and World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR).

What if my child wants to participate in events and is not highly competitive? See More Details

The HJGT is a wonderful opportunity for both seasoned veterans and kids who are new to competitive tournament play. While most of our events feature some of the top juniors in the country, our fields also feature boys & girls who are just getting started in competitive golf.
