From April 23rd-24th, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Bay Area Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

James Giordani from Moraga, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Giordani brought in scores of 79 and 78 for a combined total of 157 for the weekend. Myles Statsky from Santa Cruz, CA was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 76 and 82 for a combined total of 158. Griffin Quan from Windsor, CA finished with top three honors with scores of 81 and 83 for a weekend total of 164.
Boys 14-15

Benjamin Wang from San Ramon, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wang brought in scores of 74 and 76 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Adithya Venkataraghavan from Saratoga, CA was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 78 and 75 for a combined total of 153. Abhi Patel from Walnut Creek, CA finished with top three honors with scores of 82 and 82 for a weekend total of 164.
Boys 11-13

Ethan Chang from Pleasanton, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Cheng brought in scores of 81 and 81 for a combined total of 162 for the weekend. Xavier Schlough from Los Altos, CA was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 89 and 86 for a combined total of 175.
Girls 14-18

Kaila Ashley Tan from Los Gatos, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tan brought in scores of 81 and 77 for a combined total of 158 for the weekend. Tallulah Brooks-Williams from Orinda, CA was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 90 and 94 for a combined total of 184.
Girls U13

Hailey Li from Los Gatos, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Li brought in scores of 88 and 87 for a combined total of 175 for the weekend.
Boys 10 Under

Kaeden Schabel from Santa Cruz, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Schabel brought in scores of 80 and 78 for a combined total of 158 for the weekend. Hunter Williams from Soquel, CA was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 84 and 84 for a combined total of 168. Darren Zhang from Cupertino, CA finished with top three honors with scores of 94 and 95 for a weekend total of 189.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
