From April 20-21, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the PGA National Spring Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 and the Division Boys U10, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls U13 Division.
Noah Hu from New York City, NY, clinched first place with a consistent performance, carding two rounds of 70 for a total of 140 strokes, finishing 4-under par. Fidel Andrade from San Luis PotosÃ, Mexico, followed in second with a total of 144 strokes, posting scores of 70 and 74. Ryan Lue from Kingston, Jamaica, rounded out the top three with an even-par final round to total 145 strokes.
Jose Carlos Lopez-Lay from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, emerged as the leader with rounds of 72 and 75, finishing with a total of 147 strokes and a score of +3. Xeve Perez from Port St. Lucie, FL, took second place with a total of 153 strokes after rounds of 76 and 77. Kerrington Rolle from the Bahamas completed the podium, tallying rounds of 82 and 76 for a total of 158 strokes.
Reece Goodson from North Palm Beach, FL, clinched first place with consistent rounds of 74, totaling 148 strokes and finishing at +4. Kai Lam from Long Island City, NY, secured the second spot with scores of 80 and 75, accumulating 155 strokes. Brooks Rodin of Palm City, FL, rounded out the top three with rounds of 78 and 83, ending with a total of 161 strokes.
Brian Kelley from Port St Lucie, FL, took first place with an impressive comeback, scoring 80 and 71 to finish at +7 and a total of 151 strokes. In second, Ryan Laird from Jupiter, FL, concluded the tournament at +17 with rounds of 80 and 81, totaling 161 strokes. Asher Tamaroff of West Palm Beach, FL, ended in third, enduring tough rounds of 113 and 105, culminating in a score of +74 and 218 strokes.
Amelie Zalsman of St. Petersburg, FL, clinched first place with a stellar performance, carding rounds of 69 and 68 for a total of -7 under par and 137 strokes. Gabriella DeGasperis from Jupiter, FL, finished second with scores of 73 and 74, totaling +3 over par and 147 strokes. Mila Zalsman, also from St. Petersburg, FL, secured third place with consistent rounds of 75, finishing at +6 over par with a total of 150 strokes.
Chloe Rounce from Nassau, Bahamas, took first place with rounds of 89, finishing at +34 over par with a total of 178 strokes. Jasmine Lazzara of West Palm Beach, FL, came in second, scoring 107 and 97 for a +60 over par and a total of 204 strokes.
