Southeast Florida Junior Open
Learn More
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour closed out Thanksgiving weekend in South Florida with a demanding test at The Links at Boynton Beach, where firm fairways, sharp winds, and tough green surrounds turned every division into a grind-it-out battle. Across all age groups, the juniors delivered momentum swings, clutch finishes, and Sunday breakthroughs that defined the final leaderboard.
In the Boys 16–18 division, Remi Lipon separated himself by embracing the chaos better than anyone else. His 160 (+18) held up as the winning number after two days of disciplined golf, navigating the course’s tight angles with steadiness that never wavered. Patrick O’Connor chased him down with stretches of aggressive play but closed two shots back, while Vojtech Zmeskal finished third with a determined 165.
The Boys 14–15 field turned into a Sunday surge story, with Blake Waidlich rising above the pack thanks to a strong closing 75 that secured him the win at 159 (+17). He found the fairways when they were hardest to hit and built a cushion that Carson Lowe fought to overcome but couldn’t fully close. Lowe’s 163 earned runner-up honors, with Sid Puspanathan finishing third after posting 168.
The Boys 12–13 players delivered one of the weekend’s most competitive battles. Gabriel Shabashkevich continues to prove he is one of the most polished young players in Florida, using elite consistency to fire 79–78 and win at 157 (+15). Ethan Glasband stayed close all tournament but couldn’t match Shabashkevich’s mistake-free Sunday, and Saktinra Puspanathan claimed third after two rounds of hard-earned scoring.
A rising name from the Boys 10–11 division emerged as Suvaathighan Puspanathan powered his way to a confident victory. His 169 (+27) built from grit, recovery shots, and a much steadier second round that closed the door on any late challenge. Fraser Gannon fought his way into second with 184, showcasing resilience across two demanding days.
On the girls’ side, Lilly Bisterzo put on a clinic in the Girls 14–18 division, delivering the only round of the weekend under 75 with her composed Sunday 74. The result was a wire-to-wire statement win at 156 (+14). Behind her, Sophia Enriquez and Sophie Alcala-Marks rounded out the podium after battling both the layout and the conditions.
Closing out the event, the Girls U13 division saw Victoria Coron triumph with a sharp bounce-back performance, shooting 94–85 to win at 179 (+37). Her Sunday turnaround was one of the best improvements of the entire tournament and highlighted her growing confidence on the HJGT stage.
From start to finish, the Southeast Florida Junior Open delivered what the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour has built its reputation on — pressure-filled competition, breakthrough moments, and young athletes proving they can adjust, attack, and rise when conditions demand their best.

The spotlight belonged to Kainan Huang of Taiwan, who captured the Boys 16–18 championship in a playoff after finishing tied with Kentucky’s Talen Beane at +3 (149). The Boys 14–15 division delivered its own sudden-death storyline, as Caiden Westbroek of Palm Harbor rose to the moment to win a playoff over Brody Drewes after both posted +9 (155). In Boys 12–13, the performance of the weekend came from Junhang Wu of Massachusetts, whose Sunday 75 powered a wire-to-wire win at +13 (159). Wu’s ball-striking separated him from the field as he held off Zain Sadiq (+16) and Evan Pratt (+29), securing another standout result in his HJGT season.
The Boys 10–11 title went to Canada’s Rylan Chan, who displayed maturity well beyond his years with rounds of 80–78 to finish at +12 (158). His consistency gave him the edge over Orlando’s Joshua Townsend, who took runner-up at +18.
On the girls’ side, Myiah Davidson of Lakewood Ranch delivered one of the clutch rounds of the entire tournament—an even-par 73 on Sunday—to capture the Girls 14–18 championship at +7 (153). She held off a strong charge from Connecticut’s Audrey Bai (+9) and China’s Xinyi “Bonnie” Wu (+10), shaping one of the most competitive girls’ fields of the fall.

With three different routings—King, Queen, and Prince—each offering its own challenges, players were forced to adapt on the fly and elevate their games when it mattered most.
In the Boys 16–18 division, Henry Liebwein set the tone for the weekend. His composed rounds of 73–74 delivered a tournament-winning +3, a performance built on discipline from tee to green. Reunion Junior Open presented by GEICO
Learn More
REUNION, Fla. – The Reunion Junior Open presented by GEICO, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, delivered one of the most electric and internationally diverse weekends of the fall season as players from across the United States and more than a dozen countries battled the Championship layout at Reunion Resort on November 15–16, 2025. Perfect weather, firm greens, and a deep field set the stage for standout performances across every division — including some of the lowest rounds recorded all fall on the HJGT.
The Boys 16–18 Division was dominated by Emiliano Delsol of San Luis Potosí, Mexico, who put together a masterful two-day performance of 68–69 (137) to finish at seven under par. Delsol controlled the leaderboard from start to finish, combining precise iron play with a confident putter to produce one of the most complete victories of the season. Jose Carlos Lopez-Lay of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, finished runner-up at 142, and Guilherme Yoshikawa of Brazil took third at 143, rounding out a global top three that showcased the tour’s international depth.
The Boys 14–15 Division delivered the weekend’s most dramatic finish, as Drew Brink of Winter Springs, Florida, Theodoros Kalionchiz of Monclova, Mexico, and Jason Zhai of Mississauga, Canada, all finished tied at 155 (+11) to force a three-way playoff. After two days of razor-close scoring, Kalionchiz emerged victorious in extra holes, displaying impressive composure to secure the title over two equally poised challengers.
In the Boys 12–13 Division, Neil Sullivan of Simsbury, Connecticut, delivered a wire-to-wire win with rounds of 73–74 (147) to finish at +3. Sullivan’s control of Reunion’s tight landing areas and quick greens allowed him to maintain a comfortable margin over Bentley McNamara of Ontario and Hayden Hogg of Illinois, who finished second and third respectively.
The Boys 10–11 Division showcased another standout performance as Mack Wong of St. Petersburg, Florida, closed with an impressive 74 to take the title at 154 (+10). His second-round surge was one of the strongest scoring efforts among the younger age groups and highlighted his growing maturity on championship-level layouts.
On the girls’ side, Anna Bell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, delivered the performance of the entire tournament — and one of the best of the fall season — firing a spectacular seven-under 65 on Sunday to win the Girls 14–18 Division at 141 (-3). Her final round stood as the lowest score recorded across all divisions at Reunion and powered her to a four-shot victory over Isabel Knickle. Bell’s display of precision and control made her one of the weekend’s undeniable stars.
In the Girls U13 Division, Avery Huls of Tampa, Florida, secured the title with a steady 187 (+43) after rounds of 94 and 93. Huls’ consistency and ability to settle in under tournament pressure underscored the growth and competitive promise found in the tour’s youngest division.
From Delsol’s dominant ball-striking to Kalionchiz’s playoff poise, Sullivan’s control, Wong’s Sunday surge, and Bell’s historic 65, the Reunion Junior Open presented by GEICO delivered a weekend of elite performances that showcased the depth, diversity, and rising talent that define the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Reunion Resort once again proved to be a championship stage — and the players rose to meet it.
