The New Jersey Fall Junior Open at LBI National Golf & Resort continued its weekend of high-level play with the Boys 12–13 Division delivering a showcase of precision and poise well beyond the players’ years.
Preston Minio of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, emerged as the standout performer, capturing the division title with an impressive +4 total (70–78–148). Minio’s opening round 70 was one of the best scores of the entire tournament, setting a commanding tone early. While Sunday’s winds made scoring tougher, his disciplined approach and control off the tee allowed him to comfortably secure the win.
In second place, Edward (Jingkun) Song of New York, NY, finished at +16 (83–77–160), rebounding strongly with a solid final-round 77 to climb the leaderboard. Close behind, Crosby Knowland of Ridgewood, NJ, took third at +17 (82–79–161), showing steady improvement each day.
Julian Ossorio of Basking Ridge, NJ, carded +20 (78–86–164) to finish fourth, highlighted by a strong opening round that kept him in contention early, while Daniel Ruggiero of Mays Landing, NJ, rounded out the top five at +28 (87–85–172).
Minio’s victory was marked by composure, consistency, and a maturity that stood out among a talented field. The Pittsburgh Fall Junior Open at Totteridge Club, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, saw an exceptional performance in the Boys 12–13 Division as Coleson Paez of Rocky River, Ohio, turned in one of the most impressive displays of the weekend.
Paez went low on Sunday, firing a brilliant 3-under-par 69 to finish the tournament at even par (75–69—144) and secure a commanding victory. His steady tempo and precise iron play set him apart from the field, as he navigated Totteridge’s challenging greens with confidence and poise.
Owen Brown of Oakmont, PA, claimed runner-up honors at +18 (82–80—162), showing consistent improvement through both rounds, while Camden Gustin of Stoystown, PA, rounded out the top three at +31 (175) after battling through the tricky winds and elevation changes the course is known for.
Paez’s composed finish and closing birdie stretch sealed his win in dominant fashion — a statement performance that underscored why he’s one of the region’s rising young talents. His performance highlighted a strong weekend of play at Totteridge, where resilience and course management were key under fall’s crisp and unpredictable conditions.

The Orlando Fall Junior Open at Eagle Creek presented by GEICO, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, saw a thrilling turnaround in the Boys 12–13 Division, where Elijah Lieber of Miami Beach, Florida, delivered a stunning comeback performance to capture the title.
After opening with a challenging 88 (+16), Lieber roared back in round two with a brilliant 72 (−1) — the lowest round of the division and one of the standout scores of the entire weekend — finishing at +14 (160) to secure the win. His Day 2 charge was a masterclass in composure, marked by crisp ball striking and a confident short game that left the rest of the field behind.
Haoyu Yong of Winter Garden, Florida, claimed runner-up honors at +20 (166) with steady rounds of 84 and 82, while Zain Sadiq of Sanford, Florida, finished third at +26 (172) after consistent play over both days. Sebastian Vizcarra of Lima, Peru, and Cameron Limia of Plantation, Florida, rounded out the top five.
Lieber’s final-round performance was a statement of resilience and precision — proving that even after a slow start, determination and execution can turn the tide. In the Boys 12–13 Division, Braxton Wooten of Jeffersonville, Indiana, claimed the title with a rock-solid +4 (74–74—148). Wooten’s consistency across both rounds set him apart from the field, as he stayed composed through tricky greens and breezy afternoon conditions.
Scribner Dailey IV of Mason, Ohio, put pressure on the leader but ultimately finished four strokes back at +8 (74–78—152), showing impressive resilience throughout the weekend. Luke Blandford of Prospect, Kentucky, rounded out the podium at +38 (93–89—182).
The young competitors demonstrated maturity beyond their years on a demanding championship course, as the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour once again provided a platform for rising stars to prepare for the next level of competitive golf.
