The Girls 14–18 Division at the PGA National Fall Junior Open featured some of the weekend’s most competitive play. The conditions were far from forgiving, but these young women rose to the challenge, showing not only their skill but their resilience on one of Florida’s toughest stages.
Ella Wester (Key Biscayne, FL) emerged as the champion, finishing at +7 (115). Wester’s steady second round of 77 separated her from the field and highlighted her ability to handle pressure when it mattered most. Her composure on the greens and consistent ball striking carried her to the top of the leaderboard.
Right behind her, Sara Valentine (West Palm Beach, FL) battled hard, finishing runner-up at +10 (118). Valentine’s round of 79 on Sunday kept her within striking distance throughout the final stretch. Her determination to stay in the fight until the very end showed her competitive edge and made for an exciting finish.
Londonrose Rinaldi (Potomac, MD) placed 3rd at +15 (123) after posting an 82 in the final round, demonstrating grit against tough course conditions. Just one stroke behind, Elizabeth Hall (Haines City, FL) secured 4th at +16 (124), while Alexa Tobias (Palm Beach Gardens, FL) rounded out the top five with +20 (128). Each player showcased resilience and flashes of great play on a demanding PGA National layout.
The leaderboard also featured international talent like Chloe Rounce (Nassau, Bahamas), who tied for 6th at +23 (131), alongside Florida’s own Tatyana Villegas (Miami, FL). Their efforts reinforced the competitive depth of the division.
The Girls 14–18 Division was defined by determination, perseverance, and strong finishes across the board. Charlotte Reid (Cream Ridge, NJ) captured the championship with a two-day total of +15 (121). Reid’s steady first round kept her in control, and despite a challenging Sunday, she closed with an 82 to secure the win. Her ability to stay composed under pressure made the difference in a talented field.
Local standouts Mia Martinez (Little Egg Harbor, NJ) and Morgan Tyhanic (Little Egg Harbor, NJ) tied for 2nd at +20 (126). Martinez posted a 43–83 final round, while Tyhanic’s 44–82 showed her resilience on the closing day. Their matching totals highlighted just how close the battle for second was.
Shloka Vishwanath (Downingtown, PA) rounded out the top four with a total of +40 (146). Though Sunday brought challenges with a 99, her determination to grind through tough conditions showed her perseverance and competitive spirit.
