Beaufort, SC — The Girls 14–18 division at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Low Country Junior Open featured strong international play, with Cindy Moreki of Vanderbijlpark, South Africa rising to the top. Moreki opened with a 79 and followed with an 81 to finish at 160 (+18), securing a two-shot victory at Cat Island Club.
Diana Gao of Foshan, China made a push on Sunday with a 79 to take second at 162 (+20), while Madison Muise of Greenville, NC finished third at 168 (+26). Ainsley Smith of Greer, SC placed fourth at 178 (+36), and Chandler Salita of Hilton Head Island, SC rounded out the top five at 199 (+57).
Moreki’s steady play across both rounds proved the difference as she became the Girls 14–18 champion in Beaufort.

Tarpon Springs, FL — The Girls 14–18 division at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Tampa Bay Junior Shootout ended in style, as Julia Gelma Larbaga of Malaga, Spain stormed to victory with a brilliant final-round 70. Her two-under performance on Sunday was the low round of the tournament, lifting her to a 145 (+1) total and the top of the leaderboard.
Mattea Issa of Jamaica stayed in the hunt after an opening 72 but settled for second at 149 (+5). Just behind, Sophia Bullard of Chantilly, VA finished third with rounds of 75–76 for a 151 (+7). GibbieKay Cain of Ooltewah, TN rounded out the top four at 155 (+11).
The depth of talent extended throughout the leaderboard, with Bela Dodd (WI) and Jimin Nam (CA) tying for fifth, and strong international representation from Italy, Bolivia, China, Germany, and Mexico adding to the global feel of the event.
Crescent Oaks Country Club proved to be a true test across both days, but it was Larbaga’s steady play and decisive finish that set her apart, making her the latest international champion to shine on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour stage.

Emma Ziniuk (Magnolia, TX) made a strong push with a closing 75 to take runner-up honors at +10 (154), while three players tied for third at +11 (155): Mia Buech (Orlando, FL), Anni Eberhardt (Koenigsbronn, Germany), and Ana Hernandez (Doral, FL).
Further down the board, Mikayla Pungsuwan (Bradenton, FL) and Aleysha Ramos (Humacao, Puerto Rico) tied for sixth at +19, while competitors from the Bahamas, Spain, Taiwan, and Germany rounded out an international field.
Helminen’s steady closing round ultimately gave her the edge in a division where just a handful of strokes separated the top five.
