Hastings, MN — The Girls 14–18 division at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Minneapolis Fall Junior Open featured a competitive field, but it was Payton Anderson of Maple Grove, MN who stood tall, delivering two strong rounds to claim the championship at Emerald Greens Golf Club.
Anderson set the pace early with a 74 on Saturday, then followed with a composed 73 on Sunday — the lowest round of the division — to close at 147 (+3). Her steady play across both days gave her a nine-shot margin over the field, cementing her as the clear standout of the weekend.
Sarah Dove of North Oaks, MN secured runner-up honors with rounds of 76 and 80 for a 156 (+12) total, while Reagan Juhl of Stillwater, MN surged in the final round with a 75 to finish third at 157 (+13). Just one shot back, Addicyn Sailer of Dakota Dunes, SD placed fourth at 158 (+14).
The top five was completed by Grace Raich of Blaine, MN, who finished at 160 (+16) after posting a solid opening-round 77. Reese Barry (Medina, MN), Sonja Johnson (Waconia, MN), and Stella Bodensteiner (Edina, MN) all stayed close behind, finishing within striking distance of the leaders.
With her victory, Anderson not only showcased her ability to go low under pressure but also reaffirmed her status as one of the premier junior players in Minnesota. Her win highlighted a weekend of strong performances across the girls’ division, making the Minneapolis Fall Junior Open a showcase of both local and regional talent.

West Lafayette, IN — At the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Fall College Prep Series at Purdue, the spotlight in the Girls 14–18 division belonged to Daphne Breen of Beverly Hills, MI, who put together two steady rounds at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Club to claim the championship.
Breen opened with an 81 on Saturday, immediately establishing herself as the player to beat. On Sunday, she followed with an 83 to finish with a two-day total of 164 (+20), securing a three-shot margin of victory. Her consistent ball striking and ability to recover from mistakes allowed her to maintain control throughout the weekend.
Amaya Bellon of St. Louis, MO kept the pressure on, closing with rounds of 83 and 84 for a runner-up finish at 167 (+23). Just behind, Lucy Beam of Louisville, KY rounded out the top three at 173 (+29), highlighted by an opening-round 84.

Beaufort, SC — The Girls 14–18 division at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Low Country Junior Open featured strong international play, with Cindy Moreki of Vanderbijlpark, South Africa rising to the top. Moreki opened with a 79 and followed with an 81 to finish at 160 (+18), securing a two-shot victory at Cat Island Club.
Diana Gao of Foshan, China made a push on Sunday with a 79 to take second at 162 (+20), while Madison Muise of Greenville, NC finished third at 168 (+26). Ainsley Smith of Greer, SC placed fourth at 178 (+36), and Chandler Salita of Hilton Head Island, SC rounded out the top five at 199 (+57).
Moreki’s steady play across both rounds proved the difference as she became the Girls 14–18 champion in Beaufort.

Tarpon Springs, FL — The Girls 14–18 division at the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Tampa Bay Junior Shootout ended in style, as Julia Gelma Larbaga of Malaga, Spain stormed to victory with a brilliant final-round 70. Her two-under performance on Sunday was the low round of the tournament, lifting her to a 145 (+1) total and the top of the leaderboard.
Mattea Issa of Jamaica stayed in the hunt after an opening 72 but settled for second at 149 (+5). Just behind, Sophia Bullard of Chantilly, VA finished third with rounds of 75–76 for a 151 (+7). GibbieKay Cain of Ooltewah, TN rounded out the top four at 155 (+11).
The depth of talent extended throughout the leaderboard, with Bela Dodd (WI) and Jimin Nam (CA) tying for fifth, and strong international representation from Italy, Bolivia, China, Germany, and Mexico adding to the global feel of the event.
