Josh Fratzel of Shawnee, Kansas, dominated the field with a remarkable -4 (68–72—140) performance, showcasing control and consistency from start to finish. His opening-round 68 set the tone, and he held steady through challenging Sunday conditions to secure a wire-to-wire victory. Local standout Parker Brandon of La Grange, Kentucky, claimed runner-up honors at +3 (70–77—147), while Chase Huff of Bardstown, Kentucky, rounded out the top three with a steady +7 (76–75—151). The leaderboard behind them featured determined efforts from a deep field, including Austin Nicholas of Ohio and Jack Walker of Texas, who tied for fourth at +15 (159). The course’s signature blend of challenging links-style fairways, unpredictable winds, and undulating greens demanded both precision and mental toughness — and those who rose to the challenge showcased elite-level composure. At the top of the leaderboard, Austin Rinkenberger of Wildwood, Missouri, emerged victorious with a total score of +1 (71–74—145). Rinkenberger displayed remarkable consistency throughout the weekend, managing his game with maturity and capitalizing on key birdie opportunities to edge out a competitive field. His ability to stay composed under pressure proved decisive as he secured the regional title. Just behind him, a pair of players shared runner-up honors at +4 (148). Evan Hall of Elmira, Ontario, Canada, battled through the breezy Sunday conditions to hold his spot near the top, while Sumner Meekhof of Eastmanville, Michigan, started hot with an opening-round 68, one of the best rounds of the tournament, before running into tougher conditions during round two. Lucas Gilbart of Toronto, Ontario, also made a strong impression with steady rounds of 74 and 75 (+5) to claim fourth place, while Cole Hendrix of Weldon Spring, Missouri, rounded out the top five at +6 (71–79) after a strong opening day. From start to finish, the Midwest/West Regional Invitational served as a true test of discipline and endurance. In the Boys 16–18 Division, Anthony Rzeszutko of Staten Island, New York, emerged victorious with a composed two-round total of 146 (+6). Rzeszutko’s steady play, highlighted by a closing round of 72, gave him a one-stroke edge over Caleb Walsh of Center Valley, PA, who finished runner-up at 147 (+7). Cole Maller of Owings Mills, MD, took third at 149 (+9) after back-to-back solid rounds, while Ryan Quigley of Holmdel, NJ, and Luke Salome, also of Staten Island, rounded out the top five at 151 (+11). Rzeszutko’s win was defined by consistent ball striking and confident putting, especially under pressure late on Sunday. His final nine holes sealed the victory as he calmly avoided mistakes that derailed others down the stretch. Porter Howard of Fairway, KS, finished close behind at +2 (75–71), surging on Sunday with a strong final-round 71 to secure second place.
