“I felt a huge relief after winning and defending my title here at reunion, overall it has been a very tough week for me. I was exhausted with the extreme weather conditions. After this event I’m glad I know what to work on for the upcoming tournaments” Panyadilok told us after we asked how it felt to get her most recent win on the tour.
Pimpakorn Panyadilok had an impressive win over Lily Martin and Zoey Cho in this 54 hole match up. Panyadilok shot an impressive 211 strokes total (-5) for the three-day event and was leading all weekend. This was not an easy weekend for Panyadilok with Martin and Cho trying to close the gap. In the end, Panyadilok was able to hold on to her lead against Martin who ended with 215 strokes (-1) and Cho who finished with 218 (+2) for the tournament.
Being an international player, Panyadilok’s junior golf experience is very different compared to HJGT, however, when she does play in a Hurricane event she enjoys the unmatched HJGT experience. Panyadilok says “The tournament was very well organized and the course was very challenging.”
To defend the title, practice is a necessity. Panyadilok prepares for her tournaments by doing just that. To gain confidence in her putting and swinging abilities she will practice on the range and putting green. She works closely with her coach from Thailand and figure out what might not be correct and will work on fixing it by a simple video or phone call. This helps her build her confidence over time knowing she has someone she can relay on to help her get to the next level.
A little bit further down the road, Panyadilok wants to make it to the LPGA tour. She wants to “make a name for myself, earn money, and support my parents in the future”
