The state of Georgia has a long history of golf, with the introduction of the sport going all the way back to the late eighteenth century. One of the most well-known golf courses in the world; The Augusta National was founded by the great Bobby Jones who in turn is one of the most influential people in the rise of golf.

The HJGT hosts events in major cities like Atlanta, Brunswick, Augusta and Savannah, as well as at a variety of country clubs across the state. With fair weather and a staggering variety of tournaments, Georgia is one of the best states to experience junior golf today.

Yes, a majority of our events are ranked by Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) and Global Junior Golf Rankings (GJGR). Many of our premium tournaments also qualify for AJGA stars, GolfWeek, and World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR).

The HJGT is a wonderful opportunity for both seasoned veterans and kids who are new to competitive tournament play. While most of our events feature some of the top juniors in the country, our fields also feature boys & girls who are just getting started in competitive golf.
