From November 21-22 the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the World Golf Village Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Boys 16-18

Joe Stover from Hunt Valley, MD was the first-place finisher this weekend. Stover brought in scores of 73 and 69 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Justin Begley from Manchester, KY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 70 for a combined total of 144. Daniel Heister from Mason, OH finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 76 for a weekend total of 154.
Boys 14-15

Luke Balaskiewicz from Jacksonville, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Balaskiewicz brought in scores of 84 and 80 for a combined total of 164 for the weekend. Thomas Freeland from Marietta, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 88 for a combined total of 171. Cameron Abitabilo from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 86 and 87 for a weekend total of 173.
Boys 11-13

Grady Gore from Far Hills, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gore brought in scores of 84 and 80 for a combined total of 164 for the weekend. Konner Kubica from Northville, MI was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 81 for a combined total of 164.
Girls 14-18

Elizabeth Kondal from St. Augustine, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kondal brought in scores of 74 and 72 for a combined total of 146 for the weekend. Kathryn Robinson from American Canyon, CA and Ashley Huffman from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL were the runners up for the weekend. Robinson came in with scores of 79 and 71 for a combined total of 150. Huffman finished with scores of 75 and 75 for a weekend total of 150.
Girls U13

Laila McNair from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. McNair brought in scores of 86 and 82 for a combined total of 168 for the weekend. Lila Weaver from Saint Johns, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 89 and 96 for a combined total of 185. Alexia Iordanov from St. Augustine, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 91 and 95 for a weekend total of 186.

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
