From September 16-17, 2023, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the South Jersey Junior Open.The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Michael Keller from Chadds Ford, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Keller brought in scores of 78 and 75 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Michael DePalma Jr from Ocean City, MD was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 76 for a combined total of 154. Daniel Cassidy from Red Bank, NJ finished at one of the top three honors with scores of 79 and 76 for a weekend total of 155. Patrick Sharpe from Holmdel, NJ finished at the other top three honors with scores of 76 and 79 for a weekend total of 155.
Boys 14-15

Anestis Kalderemtzis from Glen Mills, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kalderemtzis brought in scores of 76 and 72 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Keller Tannehill from Margate, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 76 for a combined total of 161. Declan Conner from Swarthmore, PA finished the top three honors with scores of 83 and 80 for a weekend total of 163.
Boys 11-13

Dylan Desjarlais from Leesburg, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Desjarlais brought in scores of 80 and 86 for a combined total of 166 for the weekend. Brady Cassidy from Gladstone, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 84 for a combined total of 167. Radley Cahili from Flanders, NJ finished at one of the top three honors with scores of 84 and 85 for a weekend total of 169. Reid Tornetta from Collegeville, PA finished at the other top three honors with scores of 83 and 86 for a weekend total of 169.
Girls 14-18

Minna Liang from Holmdel, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Liang brought in scores of 80 and 85 for a combined total of 165 for the weekend. Sophia DeSantis from Glen Mills, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 82 and 88 for a combined total of 170. Sarah Cohen from Lafayette Hill, PA finished at one of the top three honors with scores of 83 and 92 for a weekend total of 175. Ciana Tzuo from New York, NY finished at the other top three honors with scores of 90 and 85 for a weekend total of 175.
Girls U13

Taerin Lee from Jericho, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lee brought in scores of 83 and 81 for a combined total of 164 for the weekend. Juliana Costello from Ocean City, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 110 and 109 for a combined total of 219.
Boys 10 Under

Grant Bravyak from Marlton, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bravyak brought in scores of 103 and 91 for a combined total of 194 for the weekend. Fraser Gannon from Doylestown, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 103 and 102 for a combined total of 205.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
