In the Girls 14–18 Division, Heidi Mitchell of Louisville, Kentucky, triumphed in dramatic fashion, defeating Ana Hernandez of Doral, Florida, in a one-hole playoff after both finished tied at +15 (159). Mitchell’s poise on the greens and consistent play under pressure earned her the victory on her home course, drawing loud cheers from local supporters. Across the field, talented players battled the demanding layout, firm fairways, and quick greens. Claire Zeiger of New Albany, Ohio, secured third place at +24 (168), while Lexi Green of Charleston, West Virginia, and Alexandra Scharfenberger of Louisville, Kentucky, rounded out the top five. In the Boys 16–18 Division, Austin Rinkenberger of Wildwood, Missouri, emerged victorious with a composed +1 (71–74—145) performance. His steady play earned him a narrow win over Evan Hall of Ontario, Canada, and Sumner Meekhof of Michigan, who both finished at +4 (148). The Boys 14–15 Division saw Julian Bugara of Prospect Heights, Illinois, capture the title at +12 (75–81—156), holding off a tie for second between Braxton Hollan of South Dakota and Owen Purdin of Wisconsin, both carding +14 (158). In the Boys 12–13 Division, Cristián Castillo Botrán from Guatemala City, Guatemala, delivered a standout performance with an even-par finish of E (70–74—144) to secure the victory, displaying international poise under pressure. High Bridge, NJ — October 18–19, 2025 The Northern Jersey Junior Open, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at High Bridge Hills Golf Club, brought together some of the region’s best young golfers for a weekend of intense, high-level competition under brisk fall skies. The rolling terrain and swirling winds at High Bridge Hills made for demanding conditions, testing every aspect of each player’s game — and the champions rose to the occasion. In the Boys 16–18 Division, Staten Island’s Anthony Rzeszutko delivered a steady and composed performance to take home the title at +6 (74–72). Rzeszutko’s ball control and confident putting separated him from a talented field that included runner-up Caleb Walsh of Pennsylvania, who finished one shot back, and Cole Maller of Maryland, who claimed third at +9. The Boys 14–15 Division featured one of the closest finishes of the weekend, with Josh Yoo of Glen Rock, NJ, edging out Charlie Kaufman of Montville by a single stroke. Yoo’s consistency from tee to green across rounds of 78 and 76 (+14) proved to be the difference as he held off a late charge from Kaufman’s 73 on Sunday. In the Boys 12–13 Division, Jack Elia of Chatham, NJ, put together two disciplined rounds of 78 and 77 (+15) to secure the win. Kansas City, MO — October 18–19, 2025 The Kansas City Season Finale, hosted by the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour at Drumm Farm Golf Club, closed out the fall season with an exciting weekend of competition that featured some of the region’s best junior golfers. Players faced crisp fall conditions and a challenging layout that tested accuracy, patience, and course management across all divisions. In the Boys 16–18 Division, Rowan Banning of Leawood, Kansas, delivered a composed and confident performance to capture the victory with rounds of 72 and 71 (-1 total). Banning’s consistency and control under pressure separated him from the field, making him the only player to finish under par for the event. Porter Howard of Fairway, KS, made a strong push on Sunday with a 71, finishing three strokes back at +2 (75–71). The Boys 14–15 Division featured a gritty performance from Luke Seagrave of Springfield, Missouri, who held off the competition with rounds of 76 and 81 (+13 total) to secure the win.
