Indianapolis Junior Open

From June 26-27, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Indianapolis Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Indianapolis Junior Open

Happy Gilmore from Bloomfield, IN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gilmore brought in scores of 78 and 78 for a combined total of 156 (+14) for the weekend. Jack Burda from Fort Wayne, IN and Gage Mizuguchi from Louisville, KY tied for second place. Burda brought in round scores of 84 and 74 for a combined score of 158 (+16), while Mizuguchi tallied scores of 77 and 81 for a combined score of 158 (+16).

Boys 14-15

Indianapolis Junior Open

Jack Besner from Whiteland, IN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Besner brought in scores of 76 and 72 for a combined total of 148 (+6) for the weekend. Noah Parsetich from Greenwood, IN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 89 and 87 for a combined total of 176 (+34). Reid Davidson from Franklin, IN finished the top three honors with scores of 92 and 90 for a weekend total of 182 (+40).

Eli Wessel from Indianapolis, IN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wessel brought in scores of 71 and 72 for a combined total of 143 (+1) for the weekend. Brucen Tisch from Zionsville, IN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 75 for a combined total of 155 (+13). Wyatt Merkins from Georgetown, KY finished the top three honors with scores of 92 and 72 for a weekend total of 164 (+22).

Rowen Pfeifle from Greenwood, IN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 90 and 80 for a combined total of 170 (+28). Lauren Schwing from Effingham, IL finished the top three honors with scores of 91 and 85 for a weekend total of 176 (+34).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
