Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted Virginia Summer Junior Open this past weekend, June 9-10, at 1757 Golf Club. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of 5 divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15, Division, Boys 12-13 Division, Boys 10-11 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Nigel Youmans from Atlanta, GA claimed first place this weekend with rounds of 77 and 70, finishing with a total score of 147. Jake McCormack from Ashburn, VA finished in second place with scores of 75 and 75 for a weekend total of 150. Michael Dillow from Arlington, VA finished in third place with scores of 79 and 74 for a weekend total of 153.
Mark Mercer from Dumfries, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Mercer brought in scores of 81 and 77 for a weekend total of 158. Marshall Tech from North Beach, MD finished in second place with scores of 81 and 83 for a weekend total of 164. Henry Faisant from Richmond, VA finished in third place with scores of 84 and 85 for a combined total of 169.
Greyson Johnson from Earlysville, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Johnson brought in scores of 73 and 74 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Nathaniel Miller from Arlington VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 81 for a combined total of 158. Logan Gwiz from Woodbridge, VA finished in third place with scores of 82 and 78 for a weekend total of 160.
Charlotte Harvey from Sterling, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend with scores of 85 and 83 for a weekend total of 168. Ria Cindrich from Chantilly, VA was the runner up this weekend with scores of 86 and 83 for a combined total of 169. Mackenzie Buerk from Hummelstown, PA was the third-place finisher this weekend with scores of 105 and 110 for a weekend total of 215.
