TPC Treviso Bay Junior Open
NAPLES – The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the TPC Treviso Bay Junior Open this past weekend from July 1-2. Boys and girls traveled from all over the globe to participate in the 36-hole tournament. The event had four divisions; Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13 and Girls 14-18.

Stuart Nesbitt from Ballyclare, United Kingdom was our first place finisher in the boys 16-18 division. Nesbitt brought in an outstanding scorecard for his first tournament of the year. With five birdies on the weekend, he put up scores of 73 and 76. Stuart finished the tournament with a total score of 149. Newcomer to the HJGT, Dominic Wirtz from Naples, FL places as the runner up honors. Wirtz finished the weekend with four birdies and a total score of 151. Cole Tolbert from Cape Coral, FL finished up the top three honors, his scores of 75 and 79 gave him a total of 154 strokes.

In the boys 14-15 division, first place went to Troy Gadalla from Vancouver, Canada. With two birdies on the weekend, Gadalla brought in scores of 81 and 82 totaling 173 for the weekend. Troy is new to the HJGT, this was his first ever tournament. We applaud his efforts on the course and hope to see another win at his next tournament.

First place in the boys 11-13 division went to Liam McMenamy from Mineola, NY. Liam did a great job on the course this weekend. He brought in three birdies along with a round 1 score of 84 and 74 in round 2. He took home the win with a total of 158 strokes. This was his second tournament of the year and his first win. The runner up honors went to Eshaan Adi from Fort Myers, FL. His scores of 89 and 78 gave him a tournament total of 167.

To finish off a great weekend, in the girls 14-18 division, Eva Lye from Naples, FL was our first place winner. Eva played a great game this past weekend bringing in her best score of the year. In round 1 she brought in a score of 75 and a 76 for round 2 totaling 151 strokes for the weekend. Mia Farrar from Blue Springs, MO took home the runner up honors on the weekend. Mia had a round 1 score of 84 and a round 2 score of 83 along with one birdie, giving her a weekend total of 167 strokes. Avery Deal from Naples, FL finishes up the top three honors with a score of 171 strokes.
