This past weekend, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour brought energy,
excitement, and top-tier junior golf to TPC at Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, for the TPC Deere Run Junior Open held March 29-30, 2025. The course provided the perfect backdrop as junior golfers gave it their all across six divisions, from the eldest competitors to the youngest rising stars.
Cole Hendrix of Weldon Spring, MO finished in first place, delivering solid rounds of 71 on Day 1 and
74 on Day 2 for a total of 145 strokes. Landing in second was Landon Barks of Poplar Bluff, MO, who
put up rounds of 74 and 78, finishing with 152 strokes. Dewell Anderson of Urbandale, IA claimed third
place, scoring 77 on Day 1 and 76 on Day 2, for a final score of 153 strokes
Harrison Hartke of Cedar Rapids, IA brought his A-game to the weekend, finishing in first place with
scores of 77 on Day 1 and 75 on Day 2 for a total of 152 strokes. Grant Lawton of De Pere, WI took
second place with rounds of 80 and 75, finishing at 155 strokes. Owen Purdin of Oregon, WI rounded out
the top three with scores of 79 on both days, ending with 158 strokes.
Anthony JM Gebski of Coralville, IA finished in first place after recording a 76 on Day 1 and an 84 on
Day 2, finishing at 160 strokes. William Carmichael of St. Louis, MO followed closely behind in second
place, posting scores of 79 and 84 for a total of 163 strokes. Jacob Shelby of Dunlap, IL earned third place
with rounds of 91 and 89, finishing the weekend with 180 strokes.
Myles Branta of Pewaukee, WI finished in first place with rounds of 83 on Day 1 and 81 on Day 2, tallying 164 strokes for the weekend. Akhil Choppidi of Chesterfield, MO earned second place with scores of 91 and 89, totaling 180 strokes.
Abigail Henriksen of DeForest, WI finished in first place with back-to-back scores of 80, totaling 160
strokes. Isa Flores of Ofallon, MO secured second place with rounds of 82 and 85, finishing at 167
strokes. Lindsey Kroening of Cedarburg, WI came in third with scores of 90 and 82, for a combined total
of 172 strokes.
Shayla Pearson of Mendota Heights, MN made her mark by finishing in first place with a score of 95 on
both Day 1 and Day 2, for a final total of 190 strokes.
