Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted Tampa Bay Summer Junior Open this past weekend, June 21-22, at East Lake Woodlands Golf Club. The tournament was made up of a 27 and 18-hole format with a field of 6 divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15, Division, Boys 12-13, Boys 10-11, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls U13.
Liam Merlino from Tampa, FL, claimed first place this weekend with solid rounds of 36 and 74, finishing with a total score of 110. Jackson Geiger from Mars, PA and Christian Shaw- Sarubbi from Naples, FL finished tied for second place. Geiger carded rounds of 40 and 73 while Shaw-Sarubbi carded rounds of 37 and 76, bot finishing the weekend with a total of 113.
Christopher Harvey secured first place this weekend with consistent rounds of 36 and 79, finishing with a total score of 115. Rikuto Goto from Kagoshima, Japan claimed second place with rounds of 40 and 78 for a total of 118. Ryo Arakawa from Japan finished in third place with scores of 40 and 81 for a weekend total of 121.
Chi San Allen Huang from Bradenton, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Huang brought in scores of 38 and 37 for a weekend total of 75. Grant Goetz from Lecanto, FL finished in second place with scores of 39 and 41 for a weekend total of 80. Landon Park from Oakton, VA finished in third place with scores of 45 and 43 for a weekend total of 88.
Mack Wong from St. Petersburg, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wong brought in scores of 35 and 36 for a weekend total of 71. Mason Fulgencio from Tampa, FL was the second-place finisher with scores of 39 and 40 for a combined total of 79. Landon Conner from Odessa, FL finished in third place with scores of 41 and 39 for a weekend total of 80.
Yukino Kudo from Tokyo, Japan secured first place this weekend with impressive rounds of 35 and 36, finishing with a total score of 71. Three players tied for second place with matching totals of 77: Sofiia Gress from Bradenton, FL (40-37), Vichayada Raemmuang from Phitsanulok, Thailand (37-40), and Erika Suzuki from Tokyo, Japan (40-37), each delivering a strong performance over the two rounds.
