The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour brought championship energy to Lexington, KY over the weekend of May 10–11, as some of the nation’s most talented junior golfers teed it up at the stunning University Club of Kentucky-Big Blue. With picture-perfect weather and a world-class course setting the stage, players faced off in 36 holes of thrilling, high-pressure competition. The tournament showcased exceptional talent, clutch performances, and fierce determination across five highly competitive divisions: Boys 16–18, Boys 14–15, Boys 12–13, Boys 10–11, and Girls 14–18. From booming drives to nail-biting finishes, the weekend delivered nonstop excitement and a glimpse at the future stars of the game.
Trent Thompson from Dublin, OH was the first-place finisher this weekend. Thompson brought in scores of 69 and 72 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Brooks Cole from Louisville, KY finished tied for second place for the weekend with scores of 74 and 76 for a combined total of 150. Curtis Crimmins from Mason, OH finished tied for second place with scores of 68 and 82 for a weekend total of 150.
Evan Hack from Paducah, KY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hack brought in scores of 72 and 66 for a combined total of 138 for the weekend. Myles Ray from Noblesville, IN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 74 for a combined total of 150. Cole Layow from Nicholasville, KY finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 79 for a weekend total of 155.
In a tightly contested battle, Braxton Wooten of Jeffersonville, IN secured the victory in the Boys 12–13 Division after a first-place tie was decided by a playoff. Wooten posted rounds of 85 and 82 for a two-day total of 167. Max Sutton of Lexington, KY, matched that total with rounds of 82 and 85, earning the runner-up spot. Caleb Queen, also from Lexington, KY, claimed third place with rounds of 80 and 89, finishing just two strokes behind at 169.
Redick Johnson from Elizabethtown, KY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Johnson brought in scores of 76 and 78 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend.
Lucy Dunavent from Owenton, KY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Dunavent brought in scores of 77 and 77 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend. Sady Shafie from Laytonsville, MD finished runner-up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 77 for a combined total of 155. Willa Borough from Lexington, KY finished third place for the weekend with scores of 80 and 77 for a combined total of 157.
