2023 Summer College Prep Series at NC State
RALEIGH – The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Summer College Prep Series at NC State at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course from June 10-11. Boys and girls traveled from all over the country to participate in the 36-hole tournament. The event had five divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Girls 14-18 and Girls U13.

Our winner in the boys 16-18 division was Colby Stephens from Willow Spring, NC. Stephens did a fantastic job on the course this weekend bringing in great scores. With eight birdies on the weekend, he brought in a 77 for round 1 and 74 for round 2. He finished the weekend with a total of 151 strokes. This was Colby’s second HJGT tournament, he will participate in the Greensboro Junior Open at Forest Oaks in July. With a score of 155 strokes along with seven birdies, Ryder Hodgson places as our runner up honors. Hodgson, from Montclair, NJ is currently in the Top 15 for HJGT point rankings. Finishing up top three honors was Grayson Hanna from Raleigh, NC with a total of 157 strokes.
