From March 9-10, 2024, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Spring Break Desert Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format and with a field of four divisions, including the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division and Girls 14-18 Division.
Jacob Fratzel from Shawnee, KS was the first-place finisher of the Boys 16-18 Division. Fratzel scored 71 and 75, giving him a combined total of 146 strokes. Tanner Thompson from Gilbert, AZ was the runner up. Thompson shot 75 and 73, finishing with 148 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors were Preston Pike from Gunnison, CO and Daniel Rowe from Scottsdale, AZ. Both shot 153 strokes, with Pike shooting 75 and 78 while Rowe shot 79 and 74.
Luke Duval from Scottsdale, AZ was the first-place finisher of the Boys 14-15 Division. Duval scored 78 and 75, giving him a combined total of 153 strokes. Aiden Meyer from Meridian, ID was the runner up, scoring 81 and 78 to finish with 159 strokes. Rounding out the leaderboard was Trevor Youssi from Denver, CO. Youssi scored 81 and 79, giving him a combined total of 160 strokes.
Ryder Haskins from Minnetrista, MN was the first-place finisher of the Spring Break Desert Junior Open. Haskins scored 72 and 71, giving him a combined total of 1-under par, 143 strokes. Cat Dann from Mesa, AZ was the runner up. Dann shot 75 in both rounds, finishing with 150 strokes. Apollo Lynch from Scottsdale, AZ rounded out the top three honors. Lynch scored 75 and 77, giving him a total of 152 strokes to finish the weekend.
Olivia Johnson from Calgary, Canada was the first-place finisher of the Girls 14-18 Division. Johnson scored 77 and 75, giving her a combined total of 152 strokes. Alyssa Raghuveer from Plymouth, MN was the runner up, shooting 81 and 78 to finish with 159 strokes. Rounding out the top three honors was Addison Powers from Omaha, NE. Powers scored 83 and 86, giving her a total of 169 strokes.
