Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Sequoyah National Junior Open this past weekend, August 2-3, at Sequoyah National Golf Club. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of 5 divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15, Division, Boys 12-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls U13 Division.
Will Henry from Hendersonville, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Henry carded rounds of 80 and 75 for a weekend total of 155. Ari Kalogerakis from Mooresboro, NC finished in second place with scores of 79 and 80 for a weekend total of 159. Carlin Winkler from Fairview, NC finished in third place with scores of 78 and 82 for a weekend total 160.
Jonathan Dewey from Charlotte, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Dewey brought in scores of 77 and 81 for a weekend total of 158. Hill Gesing from Charlotte, NC finished in second place with scores of 85 and 84 for a weekend total of 169. Reid Willis from Franklin, NC finished in third place with scores of 94 and 103 for a weekend total of 197.
Shane Stepnicka from Jefferson, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Stepnicka brought in scores of 83 and 86 for a combined total of 169 for the weekend. Greyson Sevigny from Charlotte, NC finished in second place with scores of 86 and 87 for a weekend total of 173. Bryce Mussman from Simpsonville, SC finished in third place with scores of 92 and 83 for a weekend total of 175.
Lelia Meadows from Hendersonville, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Meadows brought in scores of 79 and 85 for a weekend total of 164.
