From July 23-24, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Sandy Burr Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Kyzar Joshi, from Ashland, Massachusetts was the first-place finisher this weekend after beating Nate Jordi in a playoff match. Joshi brought in scores of 73 and 68 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Jordi was the runner up with scores of 71 and 70 for a combined total of 141. Connor Allard, from Exeter, New Hampshire finished the top three honors with scores of 71 and 72 for a weekend total of 143.
